It’s a question that has run through my mind over the last nearly three weeks since I’ve embarked on this daily blogging journey.
The simple answer is, does it matter?
In the grand scheme of things it really doesn’t matter if someone reads this blog or not. It doesn’t matter is a comment is written anywhere, or a share of the post is sent out, it really doesn’t matter if anyone other than myself reads it.
At the end of the day, blogging daily helps me to improve my writing. It doesn’t matter if the post is short or long. A daily blog also helps strengthen the habit of writing every day.
The biggest take away, at least at this stage, is that I’m doing something that takes me out of my comfort zone. I’ve written and still write, on other blogs and blogging endeavors, but not ones where I’m focused on my own opinions and thoughts. I also don’t blog every day on those platforms, it’s more of a “when the mood strikes” but here, I’ve made that commitment to post something every day, regardless of what it’s about, or even if it’s quality at this point It’s about getting something on the screen every day and hitting publish.
Over time will my writing get better? Yes. Over time will the quality of the posts go up? Yes. The game for the blog is long term, not what can be accomplished in the next week.
So what if no one reads it. I’ll keep writing, I’ll keep publishing, and in time, I’m sure someone will stop by and take a look. You did.
