I’ve written before about the need to show up in order to accomplish a goal. There’s no substitute here, you have to do the work in order to accomplish anything you set out to do, the journey doesn’t stop at the start though.
The real trick, is making it to the end. The trouble is, anything truly great, anything that makes you stretch, makes you want to go that extra mile is going to be difficult. That’s when you need to put your head down and keep moving forward. You have to keep putting one foot in front of the other, play that next scale, type that next work – you have to keep moving through hell to get to where you want to be.
No one ever said accomplishing something meaningful would be easy, but at the end of the day, it’s completely worth what you did to get there.
